On Sunday September 29, 2013 I was able to attend and shoot a birthday event at the Bakersfield Marriott, for Mr. Frank Cooper who turned 90 years old. I was humbled by the love and respect in the room. Mr. Cooper was surrounded by friends and family and his church family too.
When the birthday song was played, it was Happy Birthday by Stevie Wonder, and the whole room sang along. Mr. Cooper got up and danced. I was almost brought to tears, just seeing the excitement on his face.
There was so much energy in the room. The party enjoyed Music from a live Band - Don Hicks and Friends, listened to the beautiful voice of Shurhan Bass, and laughed at the comedy styling of Mr. George Bishop.
The cake was provided by La Mour Bakery.
I am posting a couple of images for the family to view, and I am in the process of making a video and CD with the images to give to the family.
Thank you all for allowing me to be a part of this special day, I am blessed to have met you all.
